here’s who i am when the camera’s off.

I love the spotlight and I’ve been speaking in front of people for as long as I can remember. At university, I joined the debate club and I taught language classes in German, English and French as a side gig. I hold master’s degrees in journalism from FH Wien and in psychology from UCL. I am trained in presenting, on- and off-camera hosting and professional speaking and continue to practice and hone my skills regularly. I’m fluent in English, German and French as well as conversational in Spanish and Romanian. My Russian is an ongoing project, after which I plan to tackle Farsi.

As a journalist, my mission is twofold: for one, I strive to make current affairs accessible to all and empower citizens in a democracy to make informed electoral and participatory decisions. Secondly, I aim to lend a voice to those who would not otherwise have one.

As a human, I care about making the world a nicer place for everyone to live in. I volunteer my time as a mentor to a nine-year old girl, and I donate to the Helen Keller foundation, a charity recommended by the effective altruism movement. I also care about normalizing the conversation around mental health and I speak up in support of that cause whenever possible. My personal mission is to remain an open, warm, kind, self-reflected woman and to continue to grow and learn. In the future, I hope to either raise my own children to be kind, thoughtful, caring humans, or to eventually become a foster parent or work with children full-time.

In my free time, you’ll find me hosting brunch, at the gym, dancing, in a coffee shop, often with my nose in a book, or reluctantly being dragged along to a hike by my Swiss and Austrian friends (and secretly enjoying it).
